Ingredients

For the Cauliflower
  • 1 head cauliflower cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
For the Buffalo Sauce
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Large bowl
  • Baking sheet

Method

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs.
  3. Dip each cauliflower floret into the eggs, then dredge it in the flour mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
  4. Arrange the coated cauliflower in a single layer in your air fryer basket. You may need to cook in batches.
  5. Air fry at 390°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. While the cauliflower is cooking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the hot sauce, melted butter, white vinegar, and garlic powder.
  7. Once the cauliflower is cooked, transfer it to a clean bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the cauliflower and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Let the cauliflower rest for 10 minutes before serving. This helps the sauce adhere and the cauliflower stay crispy.
  9. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Notes

For extra crunch, you can double-coat the cauliflower. Dip in egg, then flour mixture, then egg again, and finally back into the flour mixture.
