Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 1 package (30 oz) frozen shredded hash browns thawed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the casserole is golden brown and bubbly.
  5. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can add cooked crumbled bacon or sausage to the mixture for extra flavor. For a crispier topping, you can sprinkle a little extra cheese or crushed crackers on top before baking.
