Ingredients

For the Salmon and Broccoli
  • 2 (6 oz each) salmon fillets skin on or off
  • 1 lb broccoli florets fresh or frozen
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
For the Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch optional, for thickening

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Small bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, sesame oil, and cornstarch (if using) for the sauce. Set aside.
  3. Place the broccoli florets on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the other side of the baking sheet. Drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Pour the honey garlic sauce evenly over the salmon fillets.
  7. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
  8. Serve the honey garlic salmon and broccoli immediately.

Notes

You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce for a little heat. This recipe is easily scalable for more servings.
