Method
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
- In a large glass bowl, layer the ingredients. Start with a layer of cubed angel food cake.
- Top the cake with a layer of sliced strawberries.
- Spread a layer of the cream filling over the strawberries.
- Repeat the layers: cake, blueberries, cream filling.
- Finish with a final layer of cream filling. Decorate the top with remaining berries.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can substitute pound cake or sponge cake for the angel food cake. For a deeper flavor, you can macerate the berries in a little sugar for 15-20 minutes before layering.
