Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 6 croissants day-old, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
For the Egg Mixture
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Whisk
  • Large bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In the prepared baking dish, combine the croissant pieces, diced ham, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissant mixture in the baking dish.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the casserole is set and lightly golden brown.
  7. Let the casserole stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can add other ingredients like cooked bacon, spinach, or different types of cheese. For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk.
