Ingredients

For the Drumsticks
  • 2 lb Chicken drumsticks
For the Marinade
  • 1/2 cup Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Large bowl
  • Tongs

Method

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade, letting any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Place drumsticks on the preheated grill. Grill for 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade. Serve with your favorite cookout sides.
