Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite kind
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
For Serving
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • optional toppings coleslaw, pickles, extra BBQ sauce

Method
 

  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred with two forks. Return shredded chicken to the sauce in the slow cooker and stir to coat.
  6. Serve the pulled BBQ chicken on hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

You can adjust the amount of BBQ sauce to your preference. For a spicier sandwich, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sauce mixture.
