Smoky Chicken Skewers with Garlic Yogurt

These smoky chicken skewers are marinated and grilled to perfection, served with a refreshing garlic yogurt sauce.

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Skewers
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken pieces with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the chicken skewers for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and nicely charred.
  5. While the chicken is grilling, prepare the garlic yogurt sauce. In a small bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped dill, and salt.
  6. Serve the smoky chicken skewers with the garlic yogurt sauce on the side.

Notes

You can soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before use to prevent burning.
