- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper to your liking. Arrange them in a medium oven-safe skillet.
- Top the pork chops with the sliced onions, sweet potatoes, and apples. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top.
- Season with 2 teaspoons of black pepper and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Cover the skillet and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. The dish is ready when the sweet potatoes are tender and the pork chops have reached an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
- Let the pork chops rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
This recipe is great for making ahead. You can prepare the ingredients and assemble the dish in the skillet a day in advance. Store it covered in the refrigerator and bake when you're ready to eat. The cooking time may need to be slightly adjusted if baking directly from the fridge.
